Mmmm

Sniff sniff

Is someone cooking meat?
Lexie wasn't happy unwrapping his own presents, he could smell the bacon and eggs print on my new socks and wanted them.

Pigs in blankets

Saw a Christmassy little pig in the garden next to Mum's house. Its brothers and sisters were tucked in a pile of hay so you can't see them.

Friday 12 November 2010

All the dogs have gone into hibernation so I can't blog them. Sorry.

Monday 11 October 2010

Fed this little cutie loads of chocolate cake crumbs to entice him to us. A good photo lasts longer than a dog after theobromine poisoning.

Gionge magnetism

Look at these two gionges fleeing reaction. Looks like the same poles do repel each other!

Smashing barriers

These two very different breeds loved breaking the last dog taboo!

A dog after my own heart

I turned my back for a second and Sashy's dog Baloo was after my cream cake. I didn't mind- there were certainly plenty more! This is a special fake fox type dog. Very sweet. More likely to maul lemon drizzle cakes than Hackney children

Attention!

This little dog was practically guarding all over Wales let alone the Spa shop we'd nipped into for our wine box and pies.

Saturday 4 September 2010

One park stand

Lexie was the talk of the town when we took him to London Fields on Saturday. Not least because he got wet in the canal and then wet on another dog.

Before all that he looked really cute, got petted by everyone and someone even commented that they really liked the 'smiley' dog. Little do they know what an animal he really is!

Boring

I can't remember what these dogs are called. I don't even want to know. The dog itself even looks bored by its breed.

p.s strangely there were five of these old sea dogs in this back garden but they all looked the same so not worth duplicating for the camera.

Boxers

These beauties would win in a fight anyday. A best dog competition anyway. They'd probably prefer to be relaxing at home on the rug or getting groomed than brawling in the street.

p.s this is a moooovie. You can't watch it on your iphone

p.s.s these dogs are actually the pets of an unnamed Hollywood celeb. They were on The One Show the recently. I'm EVER so well connected.

Political Animals

To be Dog Prime Minister one needs to get out on the campaign trail and meet the people.
'And what do you do?' 'Well woof woof, I used to work in a petrol station until all those Lhasa Apsos and Dobrany Sheepdogs started taking my jobs. Woof'
What a bigot!

Thursday 26 August 2010

I've had several complaints about the paucity of Dog Diary entries and now the (uncomissioned) evidence has flooded in from a premiere think tank.
Looks like I hate dogs from this! Better get on it.

Monday 23 August 2010

Blurred but not forgotten

This dog looks quite nice and big and fluffy. All qualities I'm looking for in my future dog. It has to be big enough to protect me, and cuddle and look so good that strangers snap us in the street.
This one was probably a bit fast for my comfortable needs though. Sped away with one glance at the photographers on it's tail!

Fight!

I bet you're wondering what these doggies were rabidly fighting over.. Well there was an open laptop in their midst with The Dog Diaries up on it. Who wouldn't want to have first read?

Cockapoop

This little beauty scampered into our Cornish holiday and our hearts. A cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a poodle it was a bit like Lexie but smaller and I think less naughty. It certainly wasn't ravishing anyones tent larder whereas Lexie would have swept the field.
Its owner informed us that it's very good with children but we weren't listening by this point. We'd heard a broken voice coming from the playground and were off.

Cream dream

This is a special wolf like breed I encountered at Sashy's house. It gets mistaken for a fox a lot. Luckily this one seems to enjoy cream cakes more than babies. I'll let it off even though it was my cake.

Saturday 14 August 2010

Cowardly canines

I don't know why but I'm crippled with uncertainty every time I see a cute dog. I just don't feel able to ask its owner permission to snap. And stealth snapping doesn't really have the same effect.

Eurgh

However nice the setting I still can't help being a little timid around this genre of dog. Lexie it seems holds no such qualms.

ZSL dogs

This was the closest thing to 'cute dogs wot I saw' at the zoo. The African hunting dogs were snoozing under a heavily veiling tree.

Dog tired

The amount of money dogs cost these days it's a good idea for them to have a profession. When I used to play Sims my dog 'Chocolate Pudding Harkness' was some sort of law enforcer cum celebrity. In reality I've put Lexie to work as a licky masseuse. Just hop in a hot bubble bath, leave the door open with the smell of skin wafting through and before you know it, galloping up the stairs he'll be. I let him do my arms, feet, and back of my neck.
He really likes the taste I promise! Not just smeared myself with liver pate.

Saturday 24 July 2010

Oh how refreshing!

Hope I can quench your thirst for dog photos today with some silky smooth shots of Alex's dog 'Coco Cola' frolicking in the lavender fields.
I bet these leave you panting for more!

Sunday 18 July 2010

Really treating you today. Instead of Lovebox I've been hanging out in my Inbox searching for dog photos.

This is probably the last thing that a lot of water fowl and field creatures around the Monks Kirby area see before they die.

It's a springer spaniel incase you wanted one.

Lexie

I like to sing a little song to Lexie to make him feel better about my attention to all these other dogs. It goes, "Lexieee, everything about you's so sexy. You don't even know it dog. Ah ah ah ah. You're really hitting my paw. oh yeah.

Isn't he just.

Who's Jalouse?

Dave and Chris ran into this Afghan hound beauty at the park and then celeb spotted him again at Seven dials. I think that's a sign I should get one if ever I heard one.
Oh here he is again!

Oh, it's not that my puns have got even more secretive, his name was Jalouse.

Beagle rock

Alex and Tom went to Brighton last weekend and photographed some very cute dogs for me. An Italian greyhound and a beagle.

Looks like they enjoy beer as much as their human companions!

Monday 28 June 2010

Haven't seen any dogs today. They must be sheltering under a tree in their gardens lest their fur gets too sticky.

Thursday 24 June 2010

Dave and I spotted this beast prowling London Fields when we were having a drink there on Monday. It's known as a Liger. Can't really tell you any facts about it as i've never seen one before now but I can tell you that its owner just uses it to talk to girls. We saw it in action. And I saw him again yesterday in Shoreditch. He does get about.

It was so hot today that I was worried I was going to have to peel off my sticky black jeans with a spatula. Think how envious I was of this dog then. I'm including him for lifestyle rather than looks.

Stealing the thunder from WYDUAS a bit as this dog also features heavily there but I thought it was so cute you wouldn't mind seeing it twice. Chows are distinctive for looking like cuddly little bears with black tongues. They're apparently very well mannered which is nice in a dog. Other dogs mustn't feel too inferior as Chows have had a long time to hone these superior manners. Pictures on Chinese pottery looking exactly like the Chow Chow date back to 206 BC!
I've been a fan of the Chow for a while as you can see by my bookmarks bar:
